I really like this lady's ideas about gaming. also she is very charismatic speaker, even when her facts are not very hard its entertaining to listen her talk.

In short she talks about positive effects video games can and is having on society, and encourages non gamers to play more games as well as gamers to play different games.

Her talks:

The first talk is more interesting but the second one is more recent, and she talks about her recent online social game super better. It's free so give it a try or at least check out how it works, very interesting concept.

If you decide to keep playing it add me to your allies (vaidorass@gmail.com)

P.S. she also has written a book if the subject interests you. from what i remember the book is informative but a bit drawn out in length and fluff text.

I like the 2nd video... Makes me feel like less of an addict. See, I knew what I was doing all along! No regrets at my death.

In short, I think doing something social and strategic is always better than not doing something at all. It's not science, tis common sense!

Think she will play gw2 with us?

I couldn't get the videos to work for me I read through the descriptions though and I have to agree with the sentiments. I have always thought that my .. gaming habits are FAR better than passively sitting in front of a television. I use my mind, I actively solve problems, and I socialize.

Gamers have also solved real life problems. Some scientists decided to enlist the help of gamers to unravel the mystery of molecules. They turned into a kind of physics game. The gamers actually managed to solve some of them. I've also seen a "game" to locate planets, also discussed in that article. It's amazing what gamers can do.

Go recruit her Damarus! She sounds awesome lol

Agreed. It's why I like gaming more than television. I hardly watch anything on TV.
