Looks like enough of a savings to me with some fun extras thrown in. Things like the 2 weeks early access to DLC content and priory queue on servers are very nice. Weapon camos intrigue me too.

Real important stuff:

•20 Maps
•20 New Weapons
•10+ New Vehicles
•4+ New Game Modes
•30+ Assignments
•20+ Dog Tags
•Back to Karkand
•Close Quarters in June 2012
•Armored Kill in Fall 2012
•Aftermath in late 2012
•End Game in Spring 2013

This is if you do not already have Back to Karkand. It came with 4 maps and 10 weapons & 10 assignments.

The full official announcement is due at E3. However, it's looks as though it will be available on June 4th. I know the BF3 excitement around here isn't particularly high but this game is great guys! I've put in nearly 400 hours to date and personally, I'll be playing for quite a few more. Even tho I already own B2K due to pre-ordering the game, it is still a savings of $10 for me if I intend to buy all of the DLCs. The extras are rather nice too so I'm in...they'll get my money.

I love this game too man. Definitely one of the best shooters I've ever played. Unfortunately shooters can only capture my attention for short periods of time, so I usually need long breaks in between playing them.

Hey I understand that. I take extended breaks as well but I always come back...too much fun.

I will be doing that soon as well!, although as most people got Karkand with pre-order, that deal is a bit misleading (i suppose still worth it though )

I do love infantry stuff a bit more than vehicle (probably cause I totally suck with vehicles ) so I am real excited for a couple of those!

Those new maps can get pretty hairy... I like the office building one the most so far, Operation 925. A ton of fun.

I'm currently in the process of moving into a new appartment so I'll pick up the DLC when I'm all settled in. It's probably time to cap some fools again

Sounds good Moo. I've been playing a bit more recently. Look forward to having some more friends to play with.

I really like this new mode, Conquest Domination. It is extremely fun. The points cap faster and the radius is much smaller. The new maps are simply great. I really like all the multiple routes you can take and the enhanced micro destruction is cool. These maps feature far more vertical gameplay as well, and that's fun.

The new weapons are nice too. Don't be fooled into thinking that only close range weapons will be effective. There is plenty of medium and even some long range combat too. However, if you are a spawn and run around type of player(COD), then yes, just pack a AEK, FAMAS, MTAR-21, MP7, P90, or any shotgun, and melt fools quickly. These are just my suggestions on best close range weapons.

Oh yeah, Gun Master is fun too. That's the other new mode. Different style of mode than Battlefield has ever had. It's like "Gun Game" from Counter Strike. Everyone starts with the same pistol and a knife.

After you get two kills with your gun you upgrade to the next. First you go through some pistols, then some sub machine guns, then some assault rifles, after that they have some weapons that are intended to slow you down so others can catch up. A couple of sniper rifles and a LMG with 4x scope(all attachments are pre-selected btw). Then you have the new grenade launcher, which launches a hand grenade. Its not particular easy to get kills with, fortunately you only need one with it to advance.

Finally, the last weapon you need to get the kill with is a knife. Then you win and everyone else loses. Also throughout the game, if you knife someone, you set them back a level, and the same goes for when you get knifed.

So it's very different from anything Battlefield has done before and can be fun and refreshing. It also allows you to try out many of the new DLC weapons and progress through weapon attachment unlocks even though you might not have those weapons unlocked yet through the new achievements. It also teaches you to use your weapon(s) to it's strength and to adjust your gameplay accordingly on the fly.

Anyways, thought I'd give my review after having played it for a month now. Every time I have logged in since early June, it has been to a Close Quarter server. It really is a great DLC.
