ability to dodge Hexes, this Warrior is a valuable asset to any team.
Added: 7/28/06 |

Designed by Esoteric Warriors. This Mesmer utilizes the
power of Domination Magic to convert a foe's Energy into damage while

allies, and resurrect fallen comrades.

Resurrect |
Attributes:
12 Domination Magic
9 Fast Casting
9 Inspiration Magic |
Tips:
- Stockpile Adrenaline, then dish
out the pain on an enemy by using Sever Artery to apply additional pressure.
Unload with a combo of Gash followed by Final Thrust on a Bleeding opponent.
- Remember, "Charge!" isn't a Stance
so it can be used in combination with Frenzy.
- Watch your Frenzy usage. If you
start absorbing too much damage, cancel it using Hex Breaker.
-
Mend yourself with Healing Signet. |
Tips:
- Try to wield a one-handed 20%
Domination-recharge weapon and a 20% Domination-recharge offhand item. This
will allow you to cast your Domination spells much more often.
- When you remove an Enchantment
using either Shatter Enchantment or Drain Enchantment, cast Diversion
immediately afterward to delay your target from recasting that Enchantment
on himself.
- Cast Resurrection to restore your
allies to life.
- Use Power Drain on an opponent to
maintain your Energy reserves while also interrupting the caster. |

Attributes:

9 Protection Prayers
9 Inspiration Magic |
Tips:
- Cast Aegis in advance of combat

- When kiting melee opponents, try
to lure them into a group to further spread Disease among them.
- Deathly Swarm affects a large
radius and will often strike multiple targets. |
Tips:
- At the start of the fight, cast
Divine Boon. When opponents draw near, cast Mantra of Recall.
- When you're swamped with
Conditions and/or Hexes, remember to cast Reversal of Fortune or Guardian on
yourself followed by Contemplation of Purity. This will removes up to 3
ailments and heal you.
- Maintain your allies' Health with
Signet of Devotion. Bear in mind it has a 2-second cast time, so if you see
someone's Health dropping rapidly, abandon casting and use Reversal instead. |

Frenzy
Theory - Warrior/Elementalist
Designed by Esoteric Warriors. This powerful axe-wielding
Warrior deals massive amounts of damage to its enemies by charging
Adrenaline skills through combat, and then unleashing fury by inflicting

down foes right before a devastating attack.

Apply Poison
Troll Unguent
Storm Chaser
Distortion
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Expertise
9 Marksmanship

Tips:
- Load up on Adrenaline. When you
are full, look for a low armor target (a Monk or other caster, for example)
and use a combination of the 3 melee skills in your arsenal.
- Shock your targets so they can't
escape or fire off skills.
- Use Healing Signet to restore 109
Health and Resurrection Signet to restore a fallen teammate to life.
-
Monitor your Health when using Frenzy. Use Sprint to cancel your Stance if
you take too many blows. |
Tips:
- Use Apply Poison whenever you can.
This is your main damage attack.
- Use Crippling Shot to slow enemies
and assist melee characters.
- Move closer to enemy casters so
you can interrupt them.
-
Don't bother attempting to interrupt spells that take 1/4 second to cast. |

Balthazar's Aura
Smite Hex
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Smiting Prayers

Tips:
- Don't rush headlong into a fight.
Instead, Shadow Step to a target, fire off your attack chain, and teleport

- Single out targets that are alone
and not clustered near others or else horns of the Ox will fail to knock
down that opponent.
- Use Plague Touch to remove
Conditions from yourself.
- You can Shadow Step to a target by
using Aura of Displacement while it is already in effect and still active. |
Tips:
- Constantly maintain Zealot's Fire.
Bolster it with Judge's Insight when necessary.

Attributes:

8 Healing Prayers
8 Protection Prayers
9 Inspiration Magic |
Tips:
-
Use Ritual Lord frequently to maintain your spirits.
-
Spread out your spirits to spar them damage from AoE spells.
-
Repeatedly use Boon of Creation to maintain Energy.
-
While your spirits are recharging, unleash Doom upon your foes. |
Tips:
-
Use Blessed Light as a big, all-purpose heal that removes Conditions and
nasty Hexes and provides an ample 163-point life boost.
-
Signet of Devotion is a great Energy saver that also grants a free
100-point Health boost every seven seconds. Use it early and often.
-
Drain Enchantment is another great Energy management skill. After casting
a few spells, use it to regain 7 net Energy and remove an important
Enchantment from your foe.
-
Inspired Hex, like Drain Enchantment, also serves a dual purpose. Use it
to remove nasty Hexes and gain a small Energy boost. |

-
Remember, Healing Breeze is removed when you cast Ether Prodigy.
-
Use Heal Party versus heavy Health degeneration to assist your team's
primary healers. |
Tips:
-
Try to juggle three targets during a fight. Use Crippling Anguish in
combination with Spirit of Failure on one melee enemy, and then Pacifism on
another similar target.
-

CH3
ONLY! Melandru's Prophet -
Dervish/Mesmer

unleashes a tempest of holy fire, crippling cold, and stoning strikes, even
allowing this character to temporarily transform into the earthly embodiment
of Melandru herself. Powered by the application and manipulation of Wind
Prayer Enchantments, this character mixes melee strikes and area of effect
spells to quickly disperse any tight groups.
Added: 7/28/06 |
CH3
ONLY! Whirling Dervish -
Dervish/Warrior
The Whirling Dervish is a champion of the savannah,
overwhelming its opponents with a storm of dust, thorns, and swift sweeps of
its scythe. By manipulating Earth Prayers Enchantments into a vicious skill
chain, this character can take out several opponents at once while
preserving itself with powerful self-heals.
Added: 7/28/06 |
Skills:
Crippling Sweep
Mystic Sweep
Pious Haste
Avatar of Melandru
Heart of Holy Flame
Grenth's Fingers
Faithful Intervention
Resurrection Signet
|
Attributes:
12 Scythe Mastery
11 Mysticism
6 Wind Prayers |
Skills:
Rending Touch
Pious Assault
Vital Boon
Dust Cloak
Staggering Force
Aura of Thorns
"Victory is Mine!"
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
11 Scythe Mastery
9 Earth Prayers
8 Mysticism
8 Tactics |
Tips:
-
Precast Faithful Intervention at the start of the battle; it will last
until removed or activated, powering your scythe attacks at a low cost. When
its heal triggers, break off your attacks to recover and recast it before
moving back in.
-
When suffering from Conditions, activate Avatar of Melandru to shrug them
all off, further remaining immune to them for as long as the Form lasts.
This Form is also excellently suited to eliminate fields of Traps, setting
them off without suffering much of their payload, or for safe passage
through otherwise hazardous areas such as poison or lava.
-
At close range to your targets, use Grenth's Fingers and Heart of Holy
Flame to inflict damage. With three Enchantments on you, use Crippling Sweep
and Mystic Sweep for vicious crippling and damaging strikes respectively.
-
Activate Pious Haste to keep up with players trying to escape your
attacks; if your last Enchantment was Heart of Holy Flame, at the end of
Pious Haste any adjacent foes will burst into flame. If your last
Enchantment was Grenth's Fingers, they are crippled instead. |
Tips:
-
Cast Vital Boon before moving in on your targets to create a larger Health
buffer. If your Health drops too low before you are in position to use
"Victory is Mine!", use Pious Strike or Rending Touch to end Vital Boon and
have it replenish your Health.
-
Move in close to your targets, preferably clustered ones, and use Dust
Cloak, Staggering Force and Aura of Thorns in quick succession. Once charged
up with these Enchantments, use Pious Strike three times to trigger ending
effects consecutively, and once all three are removed, use "Victory is
Mine!" for full Energy and Health replenishment fueled by the inflicted
Conditions. Repeat this skill chain as desired.
-
Use Rending Touch instead of one of your Pious Strikes if your target uses
Enchantments protecting him from your damage. |

Disrupting Throw
"Go for the Eyes!"
Anthem of Flame
Leader's Comfort
"Lead the Way!"
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Spear Mastery
11 Leadership

Skills:
Signet of Synergy
Mending Refrain
Cautery Signet
"Watch Yourself!"
Ballad of Restoration
Lyric of Zeal
Aria of Restoration
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Motivation
9 Spear Mastery
7 Leadership
6 Tactics |
Tips:
-
Use "Lead the Way!" on yourself to chase down fleeing foes, or use it on a
teammate to help them escape attackers. The more allies around you when
you activate this Shout, the more effective it becomes.
-
Use Barbed Throw on your target to inflict Bleeding, allowing you to
interrupt its actions by using Disrupting Throw.
-
Stunning Strike is a powerful attack that Dazes its target when it hits.
Stay focused on the Dazed target to prevent it from Spell casting. To ensure
Stunning Strike causes its Dazed Condition, use Anthem
of Flame before Stunning Strike to force the effect. Dazed is a powerful
Condition; use Barbed Spear after stunning Strike to cover the Condition
with Bleeding in order to frustrate its removal.
-
Use Leader's Comfort to replenish your Health after taking damage. |
Tips:
-
Begin casting Mending Refrain at the start of the battle, and whenever it
recharges use it on the next player on your team. As long as allies remain
within earshot, your Chants and Shouts will keep recharging it.
-
Try to position yourself in the middle of your team to maximize the
effectiveness of your Shouts and Chants. Attack opponents with your spear
from this position to build Adrenaline, and be prepared to assist on called
targets.
-
Use Signet of Synergy on allies low on Health, or when your own Health is
low, use it on any nearby ally to trigger healing on yourself. If more
teammates within earshot are low on Health, use Ballad of Restoration or
Aria of Restoration to revitalize them instead.
-
When your party is suffering from Conditions, use Cautery Signet to
alleviate their burden. |
| |
CH3
ONLY! Shadow Reaper -
Assassin/Dervish

ONLY! Pack Hunter - Ranger/Paragon
The Pack Hunter is a relentless tracker, pursuing its prey
with a flurry of spears and hounding it with its animal companion. Using the
Ranger's Expertise to lower the cost of Spear Mastery skills combined with
the energizing Ferocious Strike pet attack, the Hunter is an all-offensive
beast. Added: 7/28/06 |
Skills:
Eremite's Attack
Reap Impurities
Seeping Wound
Sharpen Daggers
Shadow Refuge
Dash
Critical Eye
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Scythe Mastery
11 Critical Strikes
6 Shadow Arts |
Skills:
Spear of Lightning
Wild Throw
Vicious Attack
Tiger's Fury
Ferocious Strike
Comfort Animal
Charm Animal
Resurrection Signet |
Attributes:
12 Spear Mastery
10 Beast Mastery
8 Expertise |
Tips:
-
Activate Sharpen Daggers and Critical Eye before rushing in, and remember
to reapply them whenever they run out.
-
Search out opponents who are clumped together: the whirling scythe will
hit multiple targets at once, and your Eremite's Attack will be stronger
with more foes around you.
-
Keep an eye on your nearby targets: if any one of them are Bleeding, apply
Seeping Wound on them to hasten their demise.
-
If your Health is beginning to drop, use Reap Impurities on Bleeding
targets; the more opponents around you that are Bleeding, the better the
returns.
-
When Reap Impurities doesn't heal enough, use Shadow Refuge for a swift
heal, and if things look grim, use Dash to get out of the fray to allow you
to recover. |
Tips:
-
Keep Tiger's Fury active whenever engaged in combat to increase your own
attack rate, and use Ferocious Strike whenever it recharges to increase the
damage from your animal companion.
-
Use Spear of Lightning and Vicious Attack whenever you can to keep up
pressure on your target.
-
If your animal companion is hurt or killed, use Comfort Animal to
revitalize it.
-
Use Wild Throw to cancel Stances being used to defend against you and your
animal companion. |
